While underlying equity market activity fell by 1.85% for the week ending 10 February 2012, on-exchange ETP turnover rose by 16% on the previous week to a total turnover of EUR12.1bn, according to Lyxor ETF’s weekly trading report. Investors showed an increased appetite for fixed income ETFs (turnover up 42%).
Lyxor ETFs achieved the second highest trading volume on both five-day and 20-day bases, with 19.22% and 20.69% market shares respectively.
Deutsche Boerse’s market share was 30.4% on a 20 day basis and 29.25% on a five-day basis.
The LSE had the next highest market share at 24.92% on a 20 day basis and 27.94% on a five-day basis.
