Verity’s Small-Mid Cap Value portfolio is now available to financial advisors at TD Ameritrade Institutional, Schwab Institutional, Pershing Advisor Solutions, and Fidelity Institutional Wealth Services RIA custodial platforms, through Placemark’s UMA Marketplace Platform.

"We see this as a potentially very productive distribution strategy," says Steve Lewis, Portfolio Manager.

"Advisors are always looking for new, high-quality small and mid-cap portfolios in crafting solutions for their clients," says CIO Gordon Wegwart. "The UMA Marketplace Platform is an environment where we think our strategy will stand out among its peers, and where it can easily complement other strategies in crafting a diversified solution."

Randy Bullard (pictured), Executive Vice President with Placemark Investments, says: "We are excited to partner with Verity and offer the Verity strategies to the advisor community. We always see demand from advisors for quality Small and Mid-Cap strategies, and I think Verity has an interesting story that advisors will want to hear."

The Verity Small-Mid Cap Value strategy was ranked as the top performer for the one year period ending 9/30/2011 in both the Small-Mid Value (No1 out of 59 portfolios) and the Small Cap Value (No1 out of 232 portfolios) universes by PSN Informa, one of the largest separately managed account databases.

Steve Lewis brings nearly 25 years of investment experience to the development of the security selection process used in managing this portfolio, and has been a member of Verity’s investment management team since 2006. Previously, Steve worked for Dreyfus and JPMorgan Chase, and also managed the Global Navigator Fund LP, a hedge fund.
