Cardinal hires Adam Cohen as senior portfolio manager

Cardinal Bank has Appointed Adam I Cohen as Senior Vice President, Senior Portfolio Manager in its wealth management division.

Cohen will be responsible for investment oversight for Cardinal Trust and Investments, as well as individual portfolio management and client relationship management.

“Adam is a great addition to our portfolio management team,” says F Kevin Reynolds, President, Cardinal Trust and Investments. “His private client experience and local market knowledge will provide clients with valuable investment expertise and continue to raise the capabilities of this important business unit.”

Cohen began his career in the financial services sector more than 25 years ago. Most recently, he worked as Director of Fixed Income Investments with consultant Fortigent, LLC, where he oversaw the development of the firm’s fixed income investment platform. Prior to his tenure at Fortigent, he spent eight years at Atlantic Trust Private Wealth Management as a senior portfolio manager, managing USD1 billion of fixed income assets for the firm’s private clients.

Cohen received an undergraduate degree in history from The College of Wooster, and an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. He holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) through the CFA Institute, and is a member of the CFA Societies of Baltimore and Washington DC, and the Washington Association of Money Managers.

Cohen is based in Cardinal Bank’s headquarters, located at 8270 Greensboro Drive, Suite 400, in McLean, Virginia.
