US Bank, a provider of wealth management and private banking services, has appointed Brian Vowinkel as regional managing director for Ascent Private Capital Management of US Bank in Seattle.
He reports to Michael A Cole, president of Ascent Private Capital Management.
"Brian’s depth of experience in investment and wealth management for ultra high net worth families and family-held businesses makes him particularly suited for this role," Cole says. "His passion for the business stems from the satisfaction he receives from working with clients of vision who seek to make a positive social impact and have the resources to accomplish lasting change."
In his new role, Vowinkel is responsible for driving the growth of Ascent Private Capital Management’s new office in Seattle, which will open this summer. He leads an initial team of seven professionals responsible for providing ultra high net worth clients with investment management, private banking, wealth impact planning, financial administration and an exceptional client experience in the Pacific Northwest.

Prior to that, he opened the regional office in Seattle for Convergent Wealth Advisors, where he was an equity partner and served as regional managing director. He also previously helped open the Seattle office of Goldman Sachs & Co. for private clients. Vowinkel has also served as a major in the US Army (active and reserve) for 15 years.
He has a bachelor of science degree from the US Military Academy at West Point with a dual major in engineering and history and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
