Brooks Macdonald Asset Management (BMAM )has opened its seventh regional office in St Mary’s Court, Blossom Street, York.
The decision to open in York was taken as a consequence of the existing Manchester office acquiring significant numbers of new clients and supporting introducers (IFAs) in Yorkshire and the North East, and the new office in York will be able to serve those communities even better going forward. The new office also hopes to attract further clients and introducers as it develops.
The BMAM team in York not only provides experience but also continuity within Brooks Macdonald. Claire Bennison – Regional Director of BMAM’s Manchester office – will also have responsibility for the York office and will continue to manage clients’ investment portfolios.
Other members of the initial team include Ian Wolfenden, who is the New Business Development Manager primarily responsible for supporting professional introducers. Andrew Wilson has moved across from the Manchester office and will be the Investment Management Director in York. Wilson will be working alongside a new Investment Management Director and a trainee investment manager, and further announcements will be made on these appointments shortly.
Nick Holmes (pictured with Bennison), Joint Managing Director of BMAM, says: “We are delighted to have opened in York. It is a strategic centre for us and bridges a gap that existed in our Regional office network. We have many clients and professional introducers in the region and we are now able to provide an even better, localised service to them.”
Bennison says: “We pride ourselves on the quality of our service to clients as well as our professional introducers. We have built a strong reputation within Manchester and elsewhere in the UK and I very much hope to grow our business further in Yorkshire and the North East.”
