Brandon Williams (pictured) has been named Senior Vice President and Head of TD Wealth in the US. Through TD Wealth, TD Bank and its subsidiaries provide clients with customised wealth management services.

Williams will be responsible for driving an aggressive expansion strategy for the TD Wealth business, as part of TD’s broader US franchise strategy.

Based in New York City, Williams will oversee all US Wealth functions serving high net worth clients, including Private Banking, Private Investment Counsel, Private and Institutional Trust, as well as mass affluent clients, by leveraging TD’s partnership with TD Ameritrade. He will report jointly to Bharat Masrani, President and CEO of TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank, and Leo Salom, Executive Vice President, Wealth Advice Businesses, TD Bank Group.

"I’m very pleased to welcome Brandon Williams to TD Wealth and I congratulate him on this new role," says Salom. "Brandon brings a tremendous amount of business-building experience, as demonstrated in his recent role as SVP of Retail Banking for New York City. This experience, combined with the investments we’re making in our people, products and platforms, will allow us to better serve the needs of our US High Net Worth and Mass Affluent clients."

"I’d like to congratulate Brandon on his leadership role with TD Wealth," says Masrani. "As a top 10 bank in the US, TD Bank is well positioned to take advantage of significant growth opportunities from Maine to Florida, including those in the wealth management segment. Under Brandon’s leadership, TD Wealth will play an increasingly important role in meeting our customers’ financial services needs."

Williams joined TD Bank in 2001, and was responsible for building out the company’s retail banking franchise in New York City, where he grew the network by more than 80 stores in less than 10 years. Most recently, Williams served as Chief of Staff for TD Bank President and CEO Masrani. Additionally, Williams is the Chair of TD Bank’s People with Disabilities Committee.

Prior to joining TD, Williams served as Vice President for Dime Savings Bank and led the East Coast sales and marketing division for the company’s subsidiary North American Mortgage Insurance.

"I’m thrilled to take on this key role within TD," says Williams. "We have a significant opportunity to grow TD Wealth, and I look forward to partnering with TD Bank and TD Ameritrade as we build a comprehensive wealth offering for our clients."
