International expatriate insurance provider William Russell has celebrated its 20th anniversary.
Founded by Inez Cooper (pictured) in June 1992, William Russell was launched in response to the growing need for specialist international insurance, as businesses became increasingly global and thousands emigrated to new job opportunities overseas.
William Russell is itself an international business – aside from the head office in the UK, the company also has an office in Asia and representation in the Middle East through its association with Dubai Insurance Company.
To celebrate the milestone, William Russell is embarking on a major new re-branding strategy. Alongside a newly-designed logo, the firm has also just launched a new website.
The website will allow visitors to speedily generate a quick quote and apply for cover, whilst existing policyholders will be able to access key documents and claims information online. Intermediary partners retain their access to the firm’s BrokerNet portal.
Cooper says: “I cannot believe 20 years has gone by since we started the business. It is most gratifying to see how the business has grown during that time, and I am especially pleased that many staff members who joined us in the early days are still with us. Our assets are our staff and our reputation, and our reputation is thanks to the efforts of our staff. We take great pride in our professionalism, and we have an uncompromising determination to achieve excellence in everything we undertake. We prefer to be the best in our field rather than the biggest.”
