A survey of high net worths across Germany, Russia, the UK and the US has revealed that in today’s rapidly evolving global environment, many successful investors are seeking positive engagement with the major driving forces of change as a way of creating wealth.

In fact, 63 per cent choose to view the 10 most significant drivers of change in the world today as opportunities rather than threats.

Around 21 per cent are already leveraging the opportunities through their businesses and investment.

Just over five per cent are also proactively seeking to counter the potential threats of these forces through businesses, investment and their charitable giving.

The findings are the first in a two-part research series conducted by Scorpio Partnership on behalf of Kaiser Partner. The paper gathered input from 250 investors with an average wealth of USD3.5m.

“The conditions of transition in society are posing many questions to us all,” says Sebastian Dovey, managing partner at Scorpio Partnership. “This insight series seeks to show what exactly the world’s wealthiest think about it and what they plan to do next.”
