VAM Funds boosts Asia team

VAM Funds, a Luxembourg-domiciled investment firm, has expanded its Asia team with the appointment of Paul Bamber as sales manager.

Bamber will be responsible for growing VAM’s sales in Hong Kong, China and Japan.

He will be working alongside Linda McLaren who will continue to be responsible for developing the business in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.

Prior to joining VAM, Bamber held the post of sales manager at Scottish Mutual International. He has also held senior posts at Clerical Medical and Old Mutual International where he was responsible for business growth in Asia.

VAM entered the Asian market two years ago having secured Monetary Authority of Singapore registration. It is expecting to receive Securities and Futures Commission registration in Hong Kong.

Nigel Watson, VAM sales director, says: “With his extensive knowledge of the Asian region, Paul is an important addition to the VAM sales team. His appointment will enable us to develop further and offer greater levels of support to our business partners. Asia remains of high strategic importance to our global expansion plans."
