Sal Oppenheim makes changes to supervisory board

Sal Oppenheim has made several changes to its supervisory board.

Carsten Schildknecht (44), global chief operating officer, private wealth management at Deutsche Bank, has been appointed as chairman of Sal Oppenheim’s supervisory board.

Henning Heuerding (47), chief operating officer of Deutsche Bank Nederland in Amsterdam, has been chosen to replace Schildknecht as the deputy chairman of the supervisory board. He has been a board member since 2010 and chairs the Credit and Audit Committee of Sal Oppenheim.

In addition, Carmen Herbstritt (46) has been appointed as a new supervisory board member. Herbstritt is chief financial officer Germany at Deutsche Bank and responsible for the regions Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Ukraine.

“We are delighted that, with Carmen Herbstritt, our supervisory body has again appointed a renowned expert in the banking sector,” says Wilhelm von Haller, chairman of the executive board at Sal Oppenheim. “With Dr Carsten Schildknecht, our supervisory board is headed by someone with an excellent knowledge of and close association with Sal Oppenheim. Throughout the past two years, Dr Schildknecht has guided our bank through a period of stabilisation and reorientation. He represents continuity in Sal Oppenheim’s future development. I am very happy to know that he is now the head of our supervisory board.”
