Quilter relocates to larger Edinburgh premises

Quilter is relocating to larger premises in Edinburgh just 20 months after establishing a dedicated presence in the Scottish capital.

The investment manager is moving to a new site on Castle Terrace in the West End of the city having outgrown its current St Andrew Square base.

The firm first opened a dedicated office in Edinburgh in January 2011, soon after appointing Alan Aitchison as its head and Mark Hallam as investment manager.

Quilter has quickly established a significant presence in the Edinburgh discretionary investment management sector, particularly in the private client, pension, charities and trust markets. As the business has expanded so has the team, with Scott Peebles joining in 2012 as an investment manager.

Aitchison says: “Quilter’s style of personalised investment management is proving to be very popular and our move to the new office means that we will now have the space to accommodate additional team members as demand increases. The relocation is also a reflection of our commitment to providing clients in Edinburgh and the east of Scotland with exemplary service and we look forward to being able to welcome both clients and introducers to our new offices.”
