BMAM appoints investment management director

Brooks Macdonald Asset Management (BMAM) has appointed Haydn O’Brien as an investment management director in its York office.

O’Brien has over ten years’ experience in the investment industry.
Previous roles have involved managing private client and charity portfolios and undertaking investment research. He was formerly at Adam & Company where he trained as an investment manager before joining Maunby Investment Management in 2008.
O’Brien’s recruitment brings the number of investment managers at Brooks Macdonald to 56, with a further 11 trainee investment managers currently in the trainee scheme.
O’Brien says: “I was attracted to Brooks Macdonald by a number of factors. Their reputation as a supportive and empowering employer was a key positive for me, as was their robust and collegiate investment process. I am very excited to be a part of the York team’s early development, which we believe has an excellent future.”
Nick Holmes, joint managing director, says: “We are delighted that Haydn has chosen to join us. With his breadth of experience and deep understanding of the investment industry, he will truly be an asset to our company. As business increases, our investment management team continues to grow with a focus on continually satisfying the needs of professional advisers and their clients.”
