Michael Barolsky has joined US Bancorp Fund Services (USBFS) as a legal compliance officer and assistant vice president, providing legal assistance with registration and regulation of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and mutual funds to support ETF-Fusion, USBFS’ ETF servicing solution.

With the addition of Barolsky, USBFS continues its commitment to expanding and enhancing its full service ETF service offerings with the necessary resources for investment managers sponsoring either existing or startup ETF products.

“US Bancorp Fund Services understands the necessity of continually pairing innovative full-service systems and processes with the proper and prudent legal support,” said Jeanine Bajczyk, senior vice president of legal administration for US Bancorp Fund Services. “ETF’s are among the fastest growing segment of the industry and Michael’s guidance will ensure that we continue to provide the dedicated, specialized expertise and oversight needed to service this evolving product.”

Prior to joining US Bancorp Fund Services, Barolsky practiced in the investment management group at Thompson Hine LLP, a national law firm. His legal practice focused on counseling investment companies and investment advisers in all aspects of compliance with federal and state securities laws.

“Providing clients with a dedicated ETF knowledge team is central to the success of our ETF servicing model,” said Joe Redwine, president of USBFS. “We continue to incorporate the industry’s leading talent into our organization and provide these resources to our customers.”

Before practicing law, Barolsky was a management consultant in the strategy and operations practice of Deloitte Consulting LLP, working with companies in the financial services, telecommunications, and health care sectors. Barolsky received his Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University Law School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in global business and political dynamics, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in business management from Boston University.
