London & Capital forms immigration investment division

Independent wealth manager London & Capital has appointed Mark Estcourt as executive director to head a new division, immigration investment and wealth management, and to develop the firm’s proposition for those seeking a Tier 1 investor visa.

Daniel Freedman, London & Capital co-founder, says: “The prevailing global economic and political climate, allied to the attractions of an established education, health and legal system, means growing numbers of families see the UK as a safe haven.  As a result we are seeing a new market emerge, those seeking a Tier 1 investor visa presenting firms with the appropriate experience with some truly exciting opportunities.”
The new team will be able to offer assistance with the complex investment requirements of a Tier 1 investor visa and a full wealth management service, which will include financial planning, real estate issues, and general planning and contacts.
“Employing the firm’s established professional contacts, we will act as a ‘quarter back’ to these families, introducing them to tax advisers, legal experts and others, as required.  This will ensure we deliver the best possible solution for those following the path to either temporary residency or full UK citizenship,” says Freedman.
Estcourt joins London & Capital from the London-based wealth manager, Merchant Cavendish Young, where he held the position of managing director and wealth manager – responsible for providing financial planning and wealth management solutions to private clients and SMEs. Estcourt has 20 years experience in financial services, starting his career as a financial adviser with Old Mutual, in 1992.
