SLI makes Devine non-exec appointment


Standard Life Investments (SLI) has appointed John Devine as a non-executive director.

Devine holds a number of directorships and was previously global chief operating officer of Threadneedle Investments.

Prior to joining Threadneedle Investments, Devine held a number of senior positions at Merrill Lynch, including senior vice president and head of global operations & technology, managing director, first vice president and global chief financial officer, global markets and investment banking in New York and chief financial officer, international in London.

He was until recently an advisor to the Asset Management faculty at Cass Business School and is a visiting lecturer on the Cass Business School Executive MBA programme. Devine is also a non-executive director of Omgeo, a financial trade matching technology company owned jointly by Thomson Reuters and The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation.

John will play a key role in building on this achievement.”
