David Smith to lead new Rowan Dartington Cheltenham branch

RELATED TOPICS

Bristol-based independent wealth manager Rowan Dartington has opened a new branch in Cheltenham, and has hired David Smith to head up the new location.

Smith, who joins Rowan Dartington from Coutts, has extensive knowledge of financial services having worked in the industry for the past 12 years. At Coutts he spent two years as an investment adviser where he was successful in introducing new clients and growing assets.

He also spent two years as a business development consultant for Second Row Consultants, and eight years at the Bank of Scotland Investment Service & Corporate Bank as a director for banking and financial planning.

Graham Coxell, chief executive at Rowan Dartington, says: “The opening of the Cheltenham branch is a significant step for our business, giving us additional local exposure in the South of England and adding to our existing regional offices. This new location allows us to develop deeper existing relationships in Cheltenham and its immediate surrounding area, as well as honing new partnerships. David Smith has exceptional interpersonal skills, and through these already has a strong network of contacts around Cheltenham and Gloucester. We are glad that he has come on board at this time, for what is an exciting new venture for Rowan Dartington.”

Smith says: “It was a difficult decision to leave Coutts, but the fact that Rowan Dartington is such an entrepreneurial and engaging business made the choice much easier. I am incredibly motivated by the prospect of establishing a new branch and feel that the company’s investment proposition is exactly what my clients are looking for.”
