Asian contemporary art brokerage Art Futures Group has opened its first gallery designed to make art investment more accessible to a broader range of investors.
Located at Convention Plaza, Wanchai, Hong Kong, Art Futures Group’s gallery at ArtOne is the firm’s first gallery allowing the general public to browse investment pieces and enquire about its end-to-end art investment service.
Up until now, potential investors would make an appointment with the Art Futures Group brokerage team and view potential investment pieces at the firm’s Central showroom. The firm has always stated that it is more than an art gallery and therefore has not found it necessary to compete in the art gallery space.
Jonathan Macey (pictured), director of operations at Art Futures Group, says: “Essentially ArtOne is an extension of our existing showroom, we decided to bring art investment to the masses. ArtOne is much more than a normal standard gallery. As well as exhibiting our artists, we hold education seminars and inform potential investors as to how they can make their art work for them and start earning them a return on investment from day one of purchase.”
