Evercore Wealth Management has hired Allan Kaplan as a managing director and wealth adviser.
Kaplan joins Evercore Wealth Management from Merrill Lynch, where he served as an adviser to high net worth families and family offices, responsible for designing and implementing wealth management strategies and constructing investment portfolios.
He was previously with Mainstream Investments, managing equity and debt portfolios for private investors. Prior to Mainstream, Kaplan was with Goldman Sachs, as an adviser to high net worth individuals and family offices.
"Allan is a welcome addition to our San Francisco team," says Evercore Wealth Management chief executive Jeff Maurer. "His investment and advisory experience, coupled with his commitment to our approach to client service, will contribute to the firm’s continued growth across the US."
Kaplan is based in San Francisco and reports to Iain Silverthorne, a partner and wealth adviser at the firm.
