Barclays expands wealth and investment management team

Barclays has hired 18 investment representatives in the wealth and investment management division, in eight of its offices across the US.

In New York Tom Dexter joins Barclays as a director from Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he served high net worth individuals, corporate executives, partnerships, and foundations.

Brett Fleckman joins Barclays as a director from J.P. Morgan Private Bank, where he focused on customized financial solutions for high net worth individuals.

Mark O’Shea joins Barclays as an assistant vice president from Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, where he advised high net worth individuals and families as part of the Moldaver 80 Group.

In addition to Dexter, Fleckman and O’Shea, Barclays announced on 5 September that Edward Moldaver joined as a managing director from Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.

All four investment representatives report to Mark Stevenson, managing director and regional manager for New York.

In Los Angeles, Jonathan Bates joins Barclays as a director from J.P. Morgan where he specialised in municipal bonds, working with high net worth individuals and middle market institutions. Bates reports to Brian Sears, managing director and regional manager for Los Angeles.

In San Francisco, Hugh Beecher joins Barclays as a director from Credit Suisse’s private banking division where he served high net worth individuals and families. Beecher reports to Doug Ireland, managing director and regional manager for San Francisco.

In Boston, Patrick Delahunty joins Barclays as a director from JP Morgan Private Bank where, as a senior private banker, he focused on advising high net worth individuals, families, business owners, institutions and endowments and foundations to provide customised solutions for their wealth management needs.

Timothy King joins Barclays as a director from JP Morgan Private Bank where he worked as an Investment team leader, with high net worth individuals, families, public and private institutions, corporate executives, and business owners.

Tim Humphrey joins Barclays as an assistant vice president from JP Morgan Private Bank, which he joined in 2008.

Brian Kelly joins Barclays as an assistant vice president from JP Morgan Private Bank which he joined in 2007.

All four investment representatives report to Marty Courage, managing director and regional manager for Boston.

In Dallas, Noble Nash joins Barclays as a director from Credit Suisse’s private banking division where he served high net worth families and institutions since 2000.

Mike Whorton joins Barclays as a director from Credit Suisse’s private banking division which he joined in 2000.

Chris Boley joins Barclays as a vice president from Credit Suisse’s private banking division, where he worked with business owners, executives and foundations.

All three investment representatives in Dallas report to Steve Head, managing director and regional manager for Texas.

In Atlanta, Scott Macolino joins Barclays as a director from SunTrust Investment Services where, as a private wealth adviser, he served ultra high net worth individuals, corporate executives and professional investors. Macolino reports to John Houlihan, director and regional manager for Atlanta.

In Miami, Carlos Gallo joins Barclays as a director from UBS Financial Services, where as a senior vice president within the international division, he served high net worth individuals and families in Peru, Mexico and Venezuela.

Irl Solomon joins Barclays as a director from Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, where as an executive director, he served high net worth individuals, family offices and institutions.

Jeannie Adams-Camblin joins Barclays as a vice president from UBS Financial Services.

All three investment representatives report to Marylin Gonzalez, director and regional manager for Miami

In Palm Beach, Clark Appleby joins Barclays as an assistant vice president from Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. Appleby reports to John Cregan, director and regional manager for Palm Beach.
