Verbatim makes further investment committee appointment

Verbatim Asset Management, the investment outsourcing and research arm of The SimplyBiz Group, has appointed Chris Fleming to the Verbatim investment committee.

Fleming is head of investment at Distribution Technology where he is responsible for fund risk profiling and setting the quarterly assumptions that drives the asset model within Dynamic Planner.

Prior to joining Distribution Technology, Fleming worked at Aon Hewitt where he was a senior investment consultant providing advice to the trustees of large UK pension schemes. Fleming also spent four years with Deutsche Asset Management, where he held a role in fund analysis.
In his role on the Verbatim investment committee, Fleming will be responsible for providing guidance and assessment of the asset models and financial planning methodology in addition to supporting the team in their role of monitoring the fund and discretionary managers and ensuring they are performing to the high standard expected by advisers employing the Verbatim teams.
Neil Stevens, managing director of Verbatim Asset Management, says: “I welcome Chris to the Verbatim investment committee, his technical expertise and oversight experience is recognised within the asset management industry. Chris will play a key role at Verbatim, further ensuring the high quality of the service we provide to adviser firms.”
Fleming says: “I am delighted to be joining the investment committee at Verbatim. Verbatim provides an excellent approach and a comprehensive RDR ready solution for advisers. It is a unique offering where the adviser is built into the heart of everything being delivered and I look forward to seeing it develop and thrive in 2013.”
The investment committee also consists of chairman Jim Roberts, ex-investment director of Skandia, Ronan Kearney, managing director of Allium Capital, Peter Hugh Smith, chief executive at WAY Fund Managers and Ken Rayner, director of Rayner Spencer Mills.
