Bedell Trust expands family office offering

Bedell Trust has strengthened its presence in the family office market by joining forces with an existing single family office team possessing a combined 45 years’ experience in delivering complex family office solutions.

Crossland Private Office (CPO), established in 2002, has a team of five experienced specialists who join Bedell Trust from January 2013 to deliver an expanded multi family office business line, Bedell Family Office, servicing CPO’s current family, as well as existing and new high net worth clients of Bedell Trust.

The directors of CPO, Ian Slack (pictured) and Richard Joynt, who have jointly managed CPO for the last ten years, become directors of Bedell Trust and will lead the Bedell Family Office offering.

Slack specialises in acquisition, management and sales of global property interests and aviation and marine assets. Joynt has developed extensive experience in private equity M&A activity, in particular the appraisal, acquisition of, management of and ultimate sale of private company ownership interests.

Nick Cawley, chief executive of Bedell Trust, says: "We are delighted that the family behind CPO and the CPO team unanimously chose Bedell and were impressed with our strong reputation for delivering quality client focussed services. The opportunities that arise from the CPO team, which possesses significant front line experience of managing a single family office, joining forces with Bedell means that we can deepen and extend the breadth of services we have available to family office clients. Combined with our own trust specialists in this field, Bedell Family Office strengthens our capabilities in the premium family office arena. It provides us with a superb platform from which to expand and develop further into new markets and it further reinforces our commitment to providing bespoke services for clients with luxury assets."

Joynt says: “For many years we have been delivering highly personalised, bespoke services to a very active family and this has allowed us to develop deep skills in areas which really count for such discerning people. We are all really excited about joining forces with Bedell as it will allow us to continue with the very special relationship we have developed with our existing family, whilst being able to expand our offering to other similar families.”
