Genworth Financial Wealth Management, a subsidiary of Genworth Financial, has hired James Hanna as chief technology officer and member of the senior leadership team.

Hanna brings 25 years of senior technology leadership to the role in which he will be responsible for the Genworth Wealth Management platform.

“Technology is such an important foundation for everything we do to help advisers build great businesses and serve their clients,” says Gurinder Ahluwalia, president and chief executive of the firm. ”The CTO role is critical for us so we can assure continuous momentum in technology innovation.”

The firm introduced improved client reporting capabilities, including On Demand Reports, at the end of last year to provide financial advisers using its platform a more seamless experience for client review meetings.

Hanna’s new role will support the firm in continuing on an innovation path to deliver solutions and functionality that help advisers and their clients. Hanna reports to Carrie Hansen, SVP, chief operations officer and president, mutual funds for Genworth Wealth Management.

Hanna joins Genworth Wealth Management from Bank of the West, where he was executive vice president and chief technology officer since 2005. Prior to Bank of the West, he held positions at Fidelity Information Services and Alltel Information Services.
