Sentry Investments has forged a partnership with Sun Life Global Investments to launch income funds and a Canadian equity fund.

Sun Life Granite Managed Income Portfolios are a multi-manager, fund of fund platform built primarily with income-generating mutual funds. The Granite portfolios will include units of Sentry Reit Fund and Sentry Infrastructure Fund, as well as investments from other money managers. Additionally, Sentry will act as the sub-adviser to Sun Life Global Investments for the Sun Life Sentry Value Fund.

"It’s exciting to join forces with an innovative Canadian company such as Sun Life Global Investments," says Dennis Mitchell (pictured), executive vice-president and chief investment officer, Sentry. "We are confident this collaboration will result in a high-calibre product and our participation in the Granite portfolios will help address investors’ increasing need for income."

"We are excited to partner with Sentry Investments, one of the best equity managers in Canada," says Rick Headrick, president, Sun Life Global Investments. "The addition of this Canadian equity value fund complements our growing fund line-up, offering Canadian investors greater access and more choice."
