Tikehau launches private debt fund for retail clients

Tikehau Investment Management, an asset management company specialising in European debt securities, has launched its first private debt fund accessible to retail clients.

This new fund, which will accept investments from 31 January to 31 July 2013, gives private investors access to the financing of mid-sized companies.

Until now, investment in private debt was open only to institutional-type clients. Tikehau Financement Privé now allows any investor to gain exposure to this asset class for a minimum initial investment of EUR20,000.

The current financial crisis has pushed companies into diversifying their sources of financing. Some of these sources, such as bank financing, have dried up considerably. Through this new private debt fund, Tikehau IM offers an alternative to companies that have no access to the bond markets.

The Tikehau Financement Privé private debt fund is invested mainly in equity-linked mezzanine financial securities.
