BMO Investments has announced potential changes to the investment strategies of BMO International Equity ETF Fund.
The fund invests up to 100 per cent of its assets in securities of an underlying exchange-traded fund – namely, BMO International Equity Hedged to CAD Index ETF.
BMO Asset Management, the manager of the underlying ETF, has announced that a special meeting of unitholders has been called to consider and approve changes to the investment objectives of the ETF such that it will seek to replicate the performance of a new index – the MSCI EAFE 100 per cent Hedged to CAD Dollars Index.
The proposed change to the underlying ETF, if approved, will result in corresponding changes to the investment strategies of the fund.
The special meeting of unitholders of the underlying ETF will be held on 28 March 2013.
