Hennion & Walsh, a provider of investment services, has entered a strategic distribution relationship with independent investment management and advisory services firm Four Wood Capital Partners (FWCP).

FWCP provides strategic advisory, product assembly and distribution services to asset managers seeking access to the financial intermediary market.

Under the terms of the market agent agreement the firms signed, New York-based FWCP will provide wholesaling and marketing services related to the distribution of Hennion & Walsh’s line-up of SmartTrust Unit Investment Trust (UIT) offerings in certain geographic territories, where appropriate. FWCP’s contracted wholesalers will complement the existing team of internal and external SmartTrust wholesalers led by Dave D’Arcangelo, national sales manager for SmartTrust UITs.

"SmartTrust UIT assets have grown significantly over the last three years, and we are committed to building on this growth by adding more experienced wholesalers to our distribution platform. The strategic relationship with Four Wood Capital Partners will give a greater number of valued advisors access to our outstanding investment strategies," says Kevin Mahn (pictured), president and chief investment officer of Hennion & Walsh Asset Management.

Hennion & Walsh launched the first SmartTrust UITs 10 years ago in order to help advisers and their clients construct portfolios offering diversified income opportunities and potential capital appreciation over the long term.

"The distribution of proven investment solutions like the SmartTrust UITs fits perfectly with our role as a provider of income and wealth preservation strategies for advisors seeking guidance in any markets. The SmartTrust UITs offer advisors access to steady income-producing strategies designed by experts in a variety of asset classes," says Steven A Baffico, managing partner and chief executive officer of FWCP.
