Wealth manager Fleming Family & Partners has appointed Andrew Joy as a senior adviser.

Joy (pictured) will focus particularly on the FF&P private equity business, where he will chair the private equity investment committee.

Joy joins FF&P following 21 years at Cinven, the European private equity firm, as a founding partner and latterly as senior adviser.

From 1 July 2013 he will be based at the FF&P offices and will assist the group with its wider activities.

Mark Davies, chief executive of the FF&P Group, says: “I am delighted Andrew has agreed to join FF&P and we look forward to working with him both on the continuing growth of our private equity business and on initiatives across the wider wealth management and advisory activities of the group.  I would also like to thank Michael Stoddart, who is retiring as chairman of the FF&P Private Equity Investment Committee, for his valuable role in the establishment of that business.”

Joy says: “After 21 exciting and fulfilling years at Cinven, I am delighted to expand my interest in the private equity world through my new role at FF&P Private Equity – after 30 years in the sector I remain unambiguously an enthusiast. I am also very much looking forward contributing to the growth and development of the wider FF&P business.”
