RELATED TOPICS

Bridgehouse Asset Managers is the new retail trade name for Brandes Investment Partners, providing an expanded offering of investment solutions from three asset managers.

Bridgehouse provides access to investments from Brandes Investment Partners (Brandes LP), Sionna Investment Managers and Lazard Asset Management (LAM).

Operating from Brandes’ Toronto offices, Bridgehouse will provide investment solutions and services to Canadian investors and financial advisers.

"Bridgehouse offers robust solutions from three world-class asset managers: Brandes LP, Sionna and LAM," says Bridgehouse president and chief operating officer Carol Lynde. "The Bridgehouse brand creates a powerful distinction between the investment management of our solutions and our marketing efforts in Canada. Bridgehouse is about providing direct access – the bridge – to these managers to financial advisors and their clients."

As a related element of this branding reorganisation, effective 29 May 2013, the family of prospectus qualified mutual funds known as the Brandes Funds are re-captioned as the Bridgehouse Funds and the following specific mutual fund name changes are made:

Brandes Sionna Canadian Equity Fund is now the Sionna Canadian Equity Fund
Brandes Sionna Canadian Balanced Fund is now the Sionna Canadian Balanced Fund
Brandes Sionna Monthly Income Fund is now the Sionna Monthly Income Fund
Brandes Sionna Canadian Small Cap Equity Fund is now the Sionna Canadian Small Cap Equity Fund
Brandes Sionna Diversified Income Fund is now the Sionna Diversified Income Fund

There is no change to the investment objectives or strategies of these or any of the Bridgehouse funds.

"Bridgehouse Asset Managers has established a unique and collaborative model that is enduring and trustworthy," says Brandes chief executive Oliver Murray. "We have built a solid, proven structure that creates the stability investors and advisors are seeking by aligning the long-term interests of all parties. We believe ‘Bridgehouse’ properly captures the enduring nature of our relationships with Sionna and LAM."
