City Financial appoints chief risk officer

London-based investment firm City Financial has appointed Tim Short as chief risk officer.

 
Short will help support the company’s product offering to both retail and institutional clients.
 
Short is an investment and risk management professional with a career spanning 18 years in the fund management industry. He has held senior risk and fund management roles at hedge fund manager Rivercrest Capital, at M&G Investments and at Societe Generale Asset Management (SGAM). He has a strong track record in active fund management and is known for interpreting and managing risk by challenging historic risk models and building risk teams that have become the industry standard.
