Louise Sander has been appointed as the new chief executive of Handelsbanken Liv.

She will be taking up her position on 16 September.

Sander (pictured) has in-depth experience of the life insurance sector, with her most recent position being chief executive of Skandia Försäljning.

“Heading up Handelsbanken Liv is a very important role, since its operations affect almost all our customers. Handelsbanken Liv has also had the most satisfied customers for five successive years – and we have every chance of reinforcing this trend,” says Katja Bergqvist, head of savings and asset management within Handelsbanken Capital Markets.

At year-end 2012, Handelsbanken Liv had assets under management of SEK75bn, of which SEK64bn was invested in unit-linked and portfolio bond insurance.
