Portfolio manager change on John Hancock Investors Trust

John Hancock Advisers has made changes to the portfolio management team of the John Hancock Investors Trust (JHI).

 
JHI is managed by a team of portfolio managers from John Hancock Asset Management, a division of Manulife Asset Management (US).
 
Effective 1 July 2013, John F Addeo and Dennis F McCafferty will join the portfolio management team of JHI.  John Iles is retiring and, effective 1 July, he will no longer serve as a portfolio manager of JHI. Jeffrey N Given, who has served on the portfolio management team since 2002, will continue to serve as a portfolio manager of JHI.
  
Given is a senior managing director and senior portfolio manager at John Hancock Asset Management. He has over 20 years of investment experience and currently manages other John Hancock Funds.
 
Addeo is a managing director and portfolio manager at John Hancock Asset Management. He joined the firm in 2012 and has over 29 years of investment experience. Prior to joining the firm, Addeo was with MFS Investment Management, where he held various portfolio management/analyst roles, most recently as an investment officer for the high-yield bond group. He has also held high-yield analyst roles at Eaton Vance and Keystone Investments.
 
McCafferty is a managing director and portfolio manager at John Hancock Asset Management. He joined the firm in 2008 and has over 18 years of investment experience. Prior to joining the firm, he was a principal and senior analyst at Pardus Capital Management and held analyst roles at Griffen-Rose and WR Huff Asset Management.
