The first active exchange-traded fund issued by Commerz Funds Solutions, a Commerzbank Group asset management company, has been tradable in Deutsche Börse’s XTF segment since Friday.
The Europe SectorTrend UCITS ETF tracks the performance of a dynamic portfolio of equity indices with the aim of achieving a higher return than the European equities market at large in the medium to long term.
The fund is based on the “FERI Relative Stärke Europa Strategie” which uses the relative strength indicator. This provides information on how an index develops relative to a benchmark over different periods of time.
The strategy includes an index when its short-term strength exceeds its medium-term strength. The strategy calls for the indices it charts to be adjusted each week, at which time all indices are weighted equally.
The product offering in Deutsche Börse’s XTF segment currently comprises a total of 1,009 exchange-listed index funds, making it the largest offering of all European stock exchanges.
