RELATED TOPICS

State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), the asset management business of State Street Corporation, has made changes to the indices, names and tickers of three US equity SPDR exchange-traded funds.

The following changes are effective 9 July 2013:

SPDR Dow Jones Total Market ETF is now the SPDR Russell 3000 ETF and tracks the Russell 3000 Index rather than then Dow Jones Total Stock Market Index;

SPDR Dow Jones Large Cap ETF is now the SPDR Russell 1000 ETF and tracks the Russell 1000 Index rather than then Dow Jones US Large Cap Total Stock Market Index;

SPDR Dow Jones Mid Cap ETF is now the SPDR Russell Small Cap Completeness ETF and tracks the Russell Small Cap Completeness Index rather than the Dow Jones Mid Cap Total Stock Market Index.

The three SPDR ETFs will seek to track Russell Indexes that provide comprehensive coverage of each underlying market segment. Russell captures 72 per cent of the market share for all US institutional equity products reporting a benchmark.
