Sullivan Wealth Management team leaves Morgan Stanley for BHWM

Beverly Hills Wealth Management has signed up the Sullivan Wealth Management Group, formerly with Morgan Stanley, expanding its California presence to the Sacramento and Newport Beach markets.

Following in the pattern of previous deals, Sullivan Wealth Management Group moves to BHWM’s partnership model from the wirehouse environment.

Advisor Brad Sullivan is the son and former business partner of prominent FOX Business financial personality, Tom Sullivan, host of The Sullivan Show. He is joined by partner Ed Bunting, also a former business associate of Tom Sullivan, who heads the financial and estate planning aspects of the team, which focuses on helping business owners to align business assets with personal wealth.

Sullivan’s interest in finance began 21 years ago at age 14, when his father gave him a small sum to invest and advised him on how to manage it. Prior to joining MS in 2007, he worked at PIMCO and Wachovia Securities. Bunting studied business and economics at San Diego State University and joined forces with Sullivan in 2005.

“BHWM was the logical choice for us, after a thorough review of our options,” says Sullivan. “They offer an environment that has all of the many positive elements of wirehouse life we had come to rely on, while also offering independence, ownership, experienced support staff and marketing tools. The Maestro platform they built was the cherry on top.”

Bunting adds: “Our business and estate planning capabilities fit nicely with what BHWM is already providing to clients – the chance to partner with this unique, innovative firm was too good to pass up.”

“Sullivan Wealth Management Group’s reputation for outstanding service to some very high-profile clientele speaks for itself,” says Mag Black-Scott, chief executive of BHWM. “We know that our platform can stand head to head against any other option for advisors going independent from the wirehouse environment, and welcoming a group like this validates that.”
