Focus Financial Partners adds LaFleur & Godfrey as a new partner firm

LaFleur & Godfrey, a Grand Rapids, US-based investment adviser, has joined Focus Financial Partners, a partnership of independent wealth management firms, effective 1 August 2013.

“We launched Focus almost seven years ago to bring together fiduciary-minded RIAs to help them achieve their strategic business goals. LaFleur & Godfrey’s practice centres on high-touch service, deep client relationships and a drive for growth, all of which are attributes we look for in our partners,” says Rudy Adolf (pictured), founder and chief executive of Focus. “The Midwest will continue to be an important geographic market for Focus, and we are excited to develop deeper ties and attract other talented advisory teams in this region.”
For nearly 30 years, LaFleur & Godfrey has provided investment management solutions centred on the use of individual securities, bonds and fixed income ETFs. The firm also offers selected financial planning services to over 200 clients, predominately located in the Midwest.
“Focus is an industry leader in the RIA space and has a proven track record of helping entrepreneurs maximise their growth potential,” says Daniel VanTimmeren, principal at LaFleur & Godfrey. “Our ability to tap into a deep knowledge base and additional resources while remaining independent were key factors in our decision to join the partnership. We look forward to a truly collaborative relationship with Focus and its partners as we continue to develop our practice.”
LaFleur & Godfrey was founded in 1987 and is led by its two principals, Richard Godfrey and VanTimmeren.
