Coho Partners launches first mutual fund

RELATED TOPICS

Coho Partners has launched the Coho Relative Value Equity Fund – its first mutual fund – providing the firm’s institutional and advisor clients with an additional means of accessing its sole investment strategy.

Initially, the fund will only be offered in an institutional share class (COHOX), but an investor class (COHSX) is registered and Coho’s intention is to launch this class in the near future.

The Coho Partners’ investment philosophy is based on the premise that the most effective way to create and sustain wealth in the equity markets is to achieve an asymmetrical pattern of returns over time, where the portfolio demonstrates a down market capture considerably less than its up market capture. The firm believes this combination of protection and participation should ultimately provide an opportunity for better than market performance over an economic cycle with less than market risk. Coho believes this objective is achievable and repeatable by populating the portfolio with stocks of high quality companies that have demonstrated long-term predictable growth in revenues, earnings and dividends.
