Three new exchange-listed bond index funds issued by SPDR (State Street Global Advisors) have been tradable on Xetra since Wednesday.
They are the SPDR Barclays 0-3 Year Euro Corporate Bond UCITS ETF; SPDR Barclays 0-3 Year US Corporate Bond UCITS ETF; and SPDR Barclays 1-3 Year US Treasury Bond UCITS ETF.
The first two SPDR ETFs enable investors to participate in the performance of corporate bonds from issuers in the industrial, utilities and financial sectors with a residual maturity of less than three years. The criterion for including bonds in the index is their denomination in euros or US dollars, and not the country in which the issuer is based. In addition, only investment-grade bonds with a fixed coupon are selected. All bonds remain in the index until maturity.
The SPDR Barclays 1-3 Year US Treasury Bond UCITS ETF gives investors access to government bonds denominated in US dollars, issued by the US Treasury, and with a residual maturity of at least one year but less than three years.
