Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management (CGWM) has appointed Chris Albert as Head of Wealth Planning for its UK business, a newly-created role.

Since 2011, Albert has been Head of Wealth Advisory for CGWM’s 360° Service – an integrated approach to wealth management including advice, investment management, tax and financial planning.  He will continue with these responsibilities in addition to overseeing the growth of CGWM’s wealth planning business in the UK.  All front office wealth planning professionals will now report to Chris.

Stephen Massey (pictured), Head of UK Wealth Management, says: “Chris is a highly experienced wealth planning practitioner and I look forward to working with him to grow our business.  Our strategic objectives include broadening the scope of services we provide to our clients, and integrating our investment management and financial planning capabilities more closely, with wealth planning as a key component of these initiatives.”

Albert says: “Although we provide a huge array of planning services, from succession planning to IHT portfolios, we believe there is considerable scope to extend these capabilities across the wealth management division. Therefore I am keen to build profile for our high quality services, deepen our relationships with clients, and work closely with CGWM's other front office teams.”

Albert has 22 years of industry experience, including leadership roles in wealth planning, sales management and training.
