FactSet, a provider of financial data and analytical software for investment professionals, has integrated Van Eck's Market Vectors exchange-traded funds on the FactSet platform.
"Van Eck has always been a big proponent of making ETF and index data easily accessible and transparent and we're delighted to provide FactSet users access to both return- and constituent-level data for Market Vectors ETFs and indices," says Ed Lopez, marketing director at Van Eck Global, sponsor of Market Vectors ETFs and parent company of Market Vectors Index Solutions.
"We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Van Eck Global. FactSet users holding Van Eck's Market Vectors ETFs now have greater transparency into fund characteristics and composition. Combined with individual securities, other funds, and ETFs in broad portfolios, the Van Eck data enhances the accuracy of portfolio performance and risk analysis," says Julie Zimmerman, vice president, institutional sales, FactSet.
Van Eck's Market Vectors ETF and index data are available within FactSet reports on SPAR (Style Performance and Risk) and FactSet Portfolio Analysis, a holdings-based tool that lets portfolio managers study the performance, composition, and characteristics of a portfolio on an absolute basis or relative to a benchmark.
With the addition of Van Eck's ETF and index data, FactSet users who hold those ETFs in their portfolios now gain the unique ability to expand and "look through" the ETF position into the underlying holdings.
The first phase of the rollout will include Van Eck's fixed income ETFs covering international, investment grade and high yield credit, and municipal bond asset classes. Soon to follow will be equity ETFs.
