Butterfield Bank (UK) has appointed Kim Hillier to European head of private banking, with responsibility for Butterfield’s private banking teams in Guernsey and London.
Hillier, who joined Butterfield from Stonehage Investment Partners in 2012, was previously the head of Butterfield’s private banking business in London.
She is an international wealth management adviser with more than 30 years of experience in managing money for high net worth individuals and families from all over the world.
Under Hillier’s leadership, Butterfield will push forward with its strategy to develop a consistent approach to servicing clients’ needs. The bank previously established European credit, asset management, risk and lending models, and has invested in infrastructure, including technology and systems, in support of its client-centric approach.
Hillier says: “Our client engagement skills will differentiate and define us. Our aim is to deliver our core services with flair and consistency, characterised by outstanding levels of personal service.
“To do this, the wealth management operations in London and Guernsey will be working closely together, offering our clients both onshore and offshore capabilities along with access to the knowledge and expertise of our group-wide platform.”
Conor O'Dea, Butterfield’s senior executive vice president, international banking, says: “Kim is well placed to drive our strategy in delivering a high-end, relationship-centric wealth management offering and leveraging the expertise of our experienced teams.”
