New investment firm Realty Shares looks to minimise market volatility

Reality Shares, an investment firm that offers a suite of tools and indexes to help investors minimise the uncontrollable factors of the stock market on their investment performance, is now open for business.

The company is led by a team of experienced industry professionals that seek to transform the marketplace for investors frustrated with stock price returns.
“The launch of Reality Shares marks the beginning of a truly differentiated way to link investment performance directly to company performance,” says Eric Ervin, co-founder, chief executive and president of Reality Shares. “Stock prices are climbing to all-time highs, but continue to lag the growth of corporate fundamentals. Capturing earnings and dividend performance while minimising market volatility is imperative to investors trying to grow and protect their assets.”
Reality Shares aims to isolate individual corporate fundamentals from stock price to uncover only the growth of those fundamentals.  Unlike many products marketed as delivering “fundamental” performance, the firm does not weight stocks based on underlying fundamental growth, minimising the influence of stock price fluctuations on overall performance.
“Volatility is an ever-present concern for investors and a constant source of frustration as market movements erode real corporate growth,” says Ryan Ballantyne, director of capital markets of Reality Shares. “Our strategy focuses on stability, capital preservation and risk management to quiet the noise of the market and give investors the means to track real corporate performance.”
