London & Capital subscribes managed portfolios to Distribution Technology’s risk profiling tool

Wealth management group London & Capital has subscribed its suite of managed portfolios to Distribution Technology’s (DT) fund risk profiling service, Dynamic Planner.

By using DT’s profiling service, it is now easier for advisers to choose the most appropriate portfolio for their clients.
DT has reviewed and profiled the company’s range of growth and income based managed portfolios in line with the profiles used on the Dynamic Planner risk profiling tool, and has assigned the following risk profiles:
Managed Portfolio 1: 2 – very-low risk
Managed Portfolio 2: 2 – very-low risk
Managed Portfolio 3: 3 – low risk
Managed Portfolio 4: 3 – low risk
Managed Portfolio 5: 4 – lowest-medium risk
Managed Portfolio 6: 4 – lowest-medium risk
Managed Portfolio 7: 5 – low-medium risk
Managed Portfolio 8: 6 – high-medium risk
Managed Portfolio 9: 7 – highest-medium risk
Managed Portfolio 10: 8 – high risk
Cautious Income Managed Portfolio: 4 – lowest-medium risk
Income Managed Portfolio|: 4 – lowest-medium risk
Higher Income Managed Portfolio: 5 – low-medium risk
Richard Leigh (pictured), London & Capital’s head of adviser solutions, says: “The DT mapping programme ensures portfolios are aligned in terms of both asset allocation and volatility, the principal objective of the DT risk profiles and risk profiling service being to provide financial advisers and their clients with a meaningful measure of the long-term investment risk of particular fund strategies, and a mechanism for selecting funds appropriate for an investor’s risk appetite and capacity for risk – with far greater confidence.  In subscribing our managed portfolios to Dynamic Planner, which maps portfolios from most of the leading players in the DFM space, we are ensuring advisers make better manager selections.
“Distribution Technology is the market leader in mapping, and its Dynamic Planner risk profiling system is one of the most trusted, independent financial adviser tools.  We are therefore delighted to have partnered with the firm in risk profiling our comprehensive range of growth and income based managed portfolios.”
Phil Morse, director of asset management clients at DT, says: “London & Capital is a popular choice amongst intermediaries looking to outsource their investment management function, and those intermediaries looking to partner with the firm will be able to do so with even greater confidence, and select a portfolio with a Dynamic Planner risk profile to match an agreed client risk profile.”
