Brooks Macdonald raises more than GBP5,500 for Guernsey charity

Brooks Macdonald International’s (BMI) Guernsey stockbroking division has raised a total of GBP5,536.12 in just one day for local charity Guernsey Cheshire Home.

As part of the team’s ongoing commitment to supporting the local community, BMI pledged to donate their trading commissions on all trades carried out on 20 November to Guernsey Cheshire Home, which was selected at random from nominations made by clients, friends and members of the public.
Matt Watson (pictured), head of Guernsey at Brooks Macdonald International, says: “We are extremely proud to have raised such a considerable sum for Guernsey Cheshire Home, which I know will be put to great use.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank the team and most importantly our clients for helping raise this money, as it is thanks to their trading activity on the day that we were able to raise more than GBP5,500 for such a deserving cause.”
Alex Jenner, events and fundraising co-ordinator for Guernsey Cheshire Home, says: “Wow, what an amazing result. The residents and I are completely overwhelmed by the amount raised and want to say a big thank you to Brooks Macdonald International, their lovely staff and even lovelier clients for helping raise so much – a true example of the Guernsey Community at its best. We couldn't keep going without support like this.”
