UK-based investment manager JM Finn & Co has appointed Sarah Soar to the newly created position of head of front office, reporting to James Edgedale.

In this role, Soar will be tasked with implementing various initiatives, which will be targeted at delivering a range of strategic projects designed to enhance corporate governance and efficiencies within the client focused service proposition.

Edgedale says: “We are delighted Sarah has joined our team.  Her experience within the industry will be invaluable to us as we look at ways to improve the service levels we give to our clients.  Enhancing our governance and in-house processes will help us continue moving the business forward whilst keeping our clients at the centre of our attention, particularly whilst we are, like our peers, so focused on regulation.”

Most recently a main board director of Brewin Dolphin, Soar has held a wide range of roles in her 29 year career.  Starting out as an investment manager, she has headed up two offices, managed 14 branches and latterly, has been responsible for delivering core strategic initiatives as a senior executive director. She also sits on the council of the Institute of Directors (IoD).
