inStream Solutions enhances wealth management platform

RELATED TOPICS

inStream Solutions has added new features and functionality to its wealth management platform.

inStream has also restructured its business model to support the cost of the enhanced offering.

“Advisors have consistently told us that inStream is an integral part of their wealth management offering and that they find real value in the planning, alert, data integration, and other practice management aspects of inStream’s offering,” says Alex Murguia, founder and CEO of inStream Solutions. “They encouraged us to enhance and expand our platform to make it an even more powerful tool.”

The key new features and enhancements to the inStream platform include:

  • New planning tools, including an industry first “Safe Savings Rate” planning function designed by well-known retirement income planning academic Wade Pfau
  • Mind mapping tools to facilitate a more interactive, collaborative client dialogue
  • Automated proactive alerts to provide advisors with daily notification of client financial developments
  • Clear and concise custom planning reports
  • Integrations with leading industry technology platforms (i.e. CRM) and data sources (i.e. custodians)

In the coming months, inStream will also be releasing a complete document management solution, account aggregation, and integrated investment analytics.

“From my perspective, the value proposition for advisers is evolving beyond investment advice to the coordination of a full financial lifecycle of decisions, from daily monitoring of a client’s long term goals and objectives to refinancing a client’s mortgage,” says Murguia. “Advisers will need to embrace a more holistic approach to wealth management if they want to compete. Clients expect their advisor to be proactive in their communications, and when doing so, provide timely, relevant, and meaningful observations and advice. Unfortunately, for the majority of advisors, the current set of available wealth management tools is not focused on helping advisors to practice in this way.”

inStream’s financial planning and practice management platform provides advisors with an integrated, alert driven technology for developing, monitoring, and implementing wealth management solutions for client needs. By incorporating financial planning modules with fully automated tracking calculators and an online third party financial services marketplace, advisors using inStream are able to proactively identify opportunities and solutions that meet their immediate client needs. Additionally, through “crowd-sourcing” of best practices, inStream allows advisors to benefit from their peers’ knowledge, experience, and advice across all aspects of their practice.

inStream has over 2,000 users on the platform.
