Investec Structured Products launches new collection of plans

The structured products sector needs to start launching timely plans that directly reflect uncertainty in the UK economy, according to Investec Structured Products.

The firm is launching its new FTSE 100 5 Year Deposit Plus Plan 1 this week.
The plan offers returns whether the index rises moderately or potentially substantial returns if the UK economy markedly improves by 2019.
Investors in the Deposit Plan – which is capital protected – receive a 30 per cent return if the FTSE 100 is higher after five years or 100 per cent of any growth in the FTSE 100 if it rises more than 30 per cent that timeframe.
Gary Dale, head of intermediary sales, Investec Structured Products, says: “We launched this Deposit Plan with the aim of giving an alternative way to access upside from the FTSE 100 if it grows either moderately or substantially over the next five years. The UK economy may be on the path to recovery, but it is entirely uncertain to what extent. Therefore, we decided in our latest collection of plans to give investors the best of both worlds, whether equity market growth will be dramatic or slightly more tempered.”
