PowerShares QQQ to issue special dividend payment


Invesco PowerShares Capital Management, a provider of exchange-traded funds, has announced that PowerShares QQQ expects to issue a special dividend payment on 7 March 2014.

The special dividend is due to a corporate action event by Vodafone Group PLC ADR which is held by PowerShares QQQ.
As of 20 February 2014, Vodafone represented 0.93 per cent of total holdings in PowerShares QQQ.
The ex-date for special distribution is anticipated to be 27 February. The record date is anticipated to be 3 March and the payable date is anticipated to be 7 March.
The Bank of New York Mellon (BNY Mellon) is the trustee of thePowerShares QQQ Trust, and Invesco PowerShares Capital Management is the sponsor of the PowerShares QQQ Trust. PowerShares QQQ represents undivided ownership interests in the portfolio of stocks held by the PowerShares QQQ Trust. The payment of the dividend is subject to final determination by the Trustee.
PowerShares QQQ, formerly known as the Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking Stock, is based on the Nasdaq-100 Index. The fund will, undermost circumstances, consist of all of stocks in the Index. The index includes 100 of the largest domestic and international non-financial companies listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market based on market capitalisation.
