Hanson Asset Management (HAM) has appointed Jonathan (Johnny) Arthur, former head of UK equities at UBS Private Wealth, as head of investment management.

In his new role, Arthur will be a member of HAM's investment committee, which is largely made up of external members who help formulate the firm’s global macro views.

He will manage client portfolios in addition to his responsibilities in leading the investment management team.

HAM's investment management team offers discretionary and advisory portfolio management to high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs and family offices coupling modern investment strategies with high levels of service. HAM's clients have the opportunity to invest alongside its founders' principal capital or have bespoke portfolios created for them.

The Hon Robert Hanson, chairman of HAM, says: "I am delighted that someone of Johnny's stature has decided to join HAM at this exciting time for our business. His reputation for providing expert advice that delivers quality results is well known and will ensure HAM progresses from strength to strength."
