CF Miton UK Smaller Companies Fund surpasses GBP100m AUM

RELATED TOPICS

The CF Miton UK Smaller Companies Fund has exceeded GBP100m in assets under management in just over a year since it launched in December 2012.

The fund, managed by Gervais Williams and Martin Turner, is the number one performer in the IMA UK Smaller Companies sector over three months, six months, one year and since launch, returning 74.9 per cent versus a sector average of 46.9 per cent.

The fund has attracted interest from a wide range of investors, including discretionary fund managers and wealth managers, and has increased in size by GBP60m in 2014 alone.

Williams says: “Our fund differs from many others in that the portfolio is more heavily weighted in small/micro cap stocks which prior to the credit boom outperformed the most. This is a factor that we believe is becoming more relevant going forward given disappointing global economic growth.”
