FCA approves Seneca Investment Managers’ acquisition of Miton Capital Partners

RELATED TOPICS

Seneca Investment Managers has completed the acquisition of Liverpool-based Miton Capital Partners, following approval by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Since the acquisition was unveiled in January, Seneca Investment Managers has appointed David Warnock as chairman, and Jon Moulton – the founder of Better Capital – has acquired a significant minority shareholding in the new company.

Miton Capital Partners manages two open-ended investment companies (the CF Miton Distribution Fund and the CF Miton Diversified Growth Fund) an investment trust (the Midas Income & Growth Trust plc) and a number of segregated mandates. The two OEICs will be rebranded in due course as part of a sustained growth strategy for Seneca Investment Managers.

Stuart Eaton, CEO, Seneca Investment Managers, says: "With the FCA approval process and completion now behind us, we can focus our energies on building Seneca Investment Managers into a major force within UK fund management. We have ambitious plans for the firm.”
